July School Holidays

Better Late than Never!!!
Haydn's first School holiday's were a bit of a let down, I was pregnant and and LOT sicker than I was last time so I LOVED having him home to look after Gracie for two weeks but he had a stink time! (Sorry Haydn....... but I was growing your baby!)These School holiday's we decided to make the most of. Haydn worked for the first couple of days and got EVERYTHING done so we had a good week and a half of relaxation. The second week we went down to stay with Grandma and Grandpa in Tokoroa and we did some pretty cool stuff while we were there.
Despite the FREEZING weather (although in true Kiwi style Haydn still wore shorts and Jandals!) we went to the Arapuni Swing Bridge, Gracie loved it. So did I.....until a group of teenagers decided to all get on and rock it until Gracie couldn't walk anymore and I almost threw up! We got off pretty fast after that.

Here are the trouble makers :(

It was a long way down, couldn't quite capture it on Camera!

Gracie getting lazy

Way excited!!!

We also decided to go to Taupo and have a look at Huka Falls and go on the mini train in town.
Huka Falls was mental, even though I knew we were perfectly safe I couldn't help but be a little on edge. I was constantly checking where Gracie was and had my camera chord tied tightly round my wrist.
Gracie loved the train, even though her face doesn't show it, it did like 3 laps of the park!! Now that's value for money LOL!

Count Your Lucky Stars!

This is me writing 12 years after the fact! It is still a running joke in our whanau that are cared more about my mission CDs than Jessie in the crash. I do have regrets. I wish I had comforted her more. Jessie has come a long way from this time, she is so talented and successful and it could have been tough had I lost her at this time. Two role twice at 100km and walk out alive is an absolute Miracle

Joey!

I stumbled across this this week. Nearly 10 years on from my last post. I want to add some Joey time. He is a great kid, full of beans and happiness. We love him!

He loves his BMX at the moment and has played football and rugby in the past. He has a good energy about him, and we love that he is part of the family.

I will post a little more on how everyone is doing in a later post. Joey is now 8 years old. How time flies!
