Its a goodie

Well Saturday we decided to go to the movies because we had 3 free passes to use in 2 weeks, but turns out we could only use 1 per visit which i thought was straight up crap but that's another story. So Jessie wanted to watch the time travelers wife. I was thinking to myself "hmmm yeah all good". I had just finished a 6 day week and thought man this could be the first movie that i fall asleep in cos i was wasted and it was a chick flick. Boy was i proven wrong, the second he started time traveling i was loving it. It was a move that made you appreciate your life but not in a holy moly i better stop telling my wife she is a silly billy but more in a way were you want to make her feel special. Point is i loved it, like really liked it and would recommend it hard out. So milz even tho i ignore all your must read books, you gotta watch this when it comes on dvd aye. I would even go to the point of its in my top 5 of the year, i know its pretty extreme but ......(looking all shady) yeah i got nothing, just go see it.

The Most Disgusting Thing You Ever Did See

So me and Haydn have been trying to spend some more quality time together, mainly because we JUST got the internet at our place and Haydn never gets off it. (Milz I know it's for a good cause but I'm pregnant and vunerable)
So we start making some cookies, which is fast becoming a tradition on our Sunday afternoons and Haydn is just finding it a little too hard to concentrate. I have to think of something to keep him focused on and anything BUT the internet PRONTO!
He walks into our computer room and the internet is STILL on and he sees a mate online that he hasn't talked to in like maybe a week (booohooo) and I tell him to turn it off or he doesn't get to feel my preggy belly for 24 hours. Since he just can't bear to be away from the technology he decides it might be a good idea to clean our keyboard which was starting to look pretty grim. I love cleaning so I decide it could be fun............until I see whats underneath the keys, Dun Dun DUUUUUUNNNNNNNNN...................check it out
Is that not THE most disgusting thing you have ever seen? I almost threw up.
So this is the keyboard with all the keys off. Now to save myself from the embarrassment that has already consumed me, in my defence this keyboard was bought with our new computer 7 years ago when we still lived in England. Dad just got a new Mac and gave us this computer and I am pretty sure we have never cleaned it. So what I'm trying to say is that is 7 years of dirt right there, no wonder it is so hideous (not sure how I thought that would save me any embarrassment actually, but just thought I needed to let you know).
Once all the keys were off I left Haydn with the empty keyboard which he vaccumed and disinfected with Cotton Buds and I scrubbed away at the kitchen sink with all the keys, now that's a lot of keys right there, it took quite a while, and I was a bit over it......
....... BUT after the keys dried we had heaps of fun putting them all back in the right spot (I was the clever one and decided we took a photo before we took them all off LUCKY) and then I couldn't WAIT to get on the net and blog about my amazingly clean and disinfected keyboard.
Thanks Haydn this experience has truly helped us bond! (I told you cleaning can be fun!) Love you xxx

This blog was brought to you by the cleanest keyboard you ever did see and a happy pregnant wife ;)

THE BUMP!!!

24 weeks and 1 day

26 weeks and 2 days

So Kristin wanted some baby bump photos and I thought it was good idea to journal some of these.
I hope you enjoy them, because that bump right there is the cause of my almost constant heartburn the last week or so. BLLLLUUUUUUURRRRRGGGGHHHHHH
Pretty huge aye?
It's funny how when I first got pregnant I could not WAIT to get a bump, then I am surrounded by these tiny pregnant women in their third trimesters (well not surrounded just my 2 sisters in law) who have neat compact cute little bumps, and I hate it.
I love being pregnant though, and I can't wait to meet my little girl in February!

True Underdog Story

So in the youth program the have a shield up for grabs at every competition there is. For example, kart racing, boat sailing, etc. For my boys all of this was to much effort and time so we would always get smoked or not have anything at all. (this was previous to me being in the calling). So a challenge came up i was sure we were going to win cos of our Polynesian influence it was Volleyball. Comes to the day and all our stars are pulling out left right and center. I discussed with my councilor weather we still have it or attend. We decide to ring around as many boys as we can and get 5 together. Now these 5 are not the athletic type but if all else failed we still go a feed lol. So to start off the day we win our first 2 and like many things pride comes before the fall, because we loose our next 6 lol. There is always rival wards and ours is takapuna. In the round Robbins they beat us twice and in the last game we didn't even score a point. So they call it a day and get into the championship rounds. So we are in the bottom championship, but a championship nonetheless and who is in it none else but takapuna, and high biscus ward. To its taka vs high biscus taka smashes them 2-0 (best out of 3). We were up now we had a tactic we put our best two servers next to each other because if they didn't win us the game it was all over. So the first game we got smoked and the boys spirits were down. But our tactic worked in the second game and we came back from 6-1 down to win 6-8. The buzzer went and breakfast was ready. i go to the boys do you want a draw or you want to go away champions. They all agreed to play on. Taka was up 5-1 and our 2nd best server won us a point then lost us a point so it was 6-2 with no good servers left so we thought. The out of nowhere comes Fredricko who did these serves that were like sky rockets Taka had no reply and the come back began 6-3 6-4 6-5 6-6 6-7 this was turning into the come back from narrm. This was match point Fredricko serves another sky rocket taka hits it once hits it twice and on the 3rd hit butches it and the crowd went wild Aeroview had done it they made the comeback and were champions. Man i was loving it i was going around giving high fives to everyone the boys were parting like it was 1999. Taka went of all bummed and we were champs. It had to be one of the most successful times in the young mens program and one i will never forget. I was so proud of them and they did our youth proud.

1st Anniversary

Once we realized that out wedding anniversary was on a Sunday we decided that we needed to do something on the Saturday. The only problem is that we were moving Saturday, but we made some time to go out and enjoy ourselves. We went to lone star and I'm not a fan of expensive restaurants but heyyy it was our anniversary. Boy was it good, the meals were massive and filling. It was a good choice, shot jessie. Then we went to movenpick and there had some ice cream. There is something special about the place its at mission bay, where we had out first date and were i proposed. We revisited the chair we had out first date on and the area we got engaged and it was really nice. There was no stress and it was nice to be around jessie. The first year has been great we have been heavily blessed from the lord, which jessie being pregnant and us both having jobs. Im lucky to have jessie and look forward to the years to come.

Forest Gump

So in the movie Forest Gumps shoes are wasted and he said you can tell a lot by a person from there shoes so hear goes. So i have had these shoes for 8 years and Jessie said i have to throw them out so I'm going to blog about them. I got these in my last year of school which was 2001 from a Nike factory for $110. I was pretty stoked at the time, and they have lasted and i think they still have a few more years left. They lasted on the mission and sports and everything really, they gave me the mean toe jams too but don't now (shifty eyes). But the time has come where they really need to go. Apparently i need to blog about all my sentimental cloths so they can be biffed too lol

The Mighty Stags

To put this into prospective on the excitement I’m feeling here goes. Southland is where I was born and raised till about 12, Most of my family but 2 were born there. Its rugby has never been strong but you always keep loyal to your hometown, unless you’re a traitor then we diss-own you. So teams are Southland for Air New Zealand Cup and Otago highlanders for super 14. Anyways in the Air New Zealand Cup there is a Ranfurly Shield which has been around since as longs as rugby has been around and you can only win it by beating the team who has it in their home ground. So it’s that last game of the season and Canterbury has it (they have won it several times and championships also, and are top of the table). So Southland goes up to Canterbury and beats them 9-3. When I found this news not only did I win a block of chocolate but I was celebrating like a mad man in the warehouse smoko room. I text my brother and when he found out he was another excited mad man. It’s a proud moment to be a southlander and there haven’t been too many moments to be proud of, but this is one for sure. So they are also into the semis and will have the shield till next year. Man I’m soooooo stoked I even might go buy a new Southland rugby top (key word maybe cos I’m tight like a tiger). I’m wearing my old one today with pride and loving being born in Southland.

Are you for real? (Part 2)

Well I get a text from Bevin going have you heard Elise is in hospital. I’m like nah what’s going down and he says they think she has leukaemia. So I’m like what the heck,,, I’m at work so I’m just lost really then Jessie texts and says I just got off the phone with your mum and Elise is in hospital. Then I call just Chad and ask what is going down and he tells me that is pretty much is leukaemia. I’m like what the heck....so Sarah calls me in the morning and is crying and man I don’t know what to do aye. I went and saw them all last night and brought gifts for all but this is was it was like for me. I was in and Elise wasn’t herself she has needles in her arm and wasn’t looking the greatest. It’s like the life was sucked out of her but she was calm as. (I’m use to seeing Elise being hard out) She had bruises over her body and red dots on her legs. I just felt sorry for her, like it’s real sad. She is having chemo at the moment and more harsh things but it’s what has to be done. Point is I love my family and its sad when these things happen. I just want to be able to support, care for and show my family that in the time of need I will be there for them. Elise is way cute and it will be a day to day thing. I really don’t know how to end this blog but i love this picture and when I think of Elise I think of this picture.

Aussie Aussie Aussie

While I'm in the mood and have time if you didn't know we went to Aussie for a holiday with Jessie's family. So we were sharing an apartment with them and were there for about a week. Movie world was the biggest let down of my life but wet n wild made the come back tour from narm to redeem the theme parks. Overall is was an awesome holiday. I had no excuse not to go for walks on the beach with Jessie and she was happy as cos she could go shopping. It was a win win holiday i got to relax and Jessie was happy. Now if you have the chance go to the outback spectacular (make sure you get a discount cos i would pay 75 like i did but 95 get out of town). It was awesome, what made it even better i was part of the show, like pretty much the main even really. So what happened is that they asked me to run a race carrying a boat with 3 other guys and i was like yeah sweet as. So they ask us to come out (now picture this it is an arena like the rodeo or derby something like that) so i got down into the middle and the crowd is going wild and i do i few finger gun shots to jessie and she's loving it. They ask our names and we get on with the race. The ground was red sand but i was running like a mad man out of a mental institution trying not to get caught. Halfway through the race i look over and see them slightly winning (the other team we were racing) so i put on the after burners and turns out we put in the hard yards and won the race. Man i was loving it. Beside my claim to fame the food and entertainment were fantastic. Overall i would love to go away each year cos it was a time to do nothing and relax. I saw delwyn and Anita which was great and loved my time in Aussie. would i move back? i don't know. Do i love it over there? yeah. Do i wove Jessie? you betcha

Are you for real?

So yesterday I'm having a shower at the gym and my phone is going crazy and its in my bag. So I'm hustling like mad to find it. I pick it up and it Jessie she explains to me that she just got to work and i was like "yeah ok" "cos i fainted on the bus" i was like "what the..." So this is the story. She is on the bus and feels she is going to faint first she cant feel her legs, then her hearing goes and finally her sight. With the final hope of anyone helping as she is about to collapses she says "I'm passing out". Next thing ya know she wakes up and is outside the bus on the concrete with a jacket over her and one under her head. When she said that it spun me out and i thought about how trippy that would of been and started cracking up. But she was fine. Someone caught her and looked after her big time. Now it sorta makes me think a little. She said they were all very helping and that's comforting to know that people these days still generally care for other people and are willing to help, which i thought was nice. There is nothing wrong with Jessie at all. They rang an ambulance and that dropped her off at work. The crack up thing about the ambulance is picture it just casually no sirens on and someone just hopping out the back and going to work, it would of been made crack up to see lol. But yeah that's the story of the hour. Moral of the story people still care in society and 2nd i need to start believing her more when she says she is gonna faint lol cos it does happen. If you wondering why such a comment i was raised tough and there was no room to be a woosy pants in front of siblings. The common phrase was "harden up" so i did but I'm starting to see its not the same with a wife lol.

Well jessie went on got her tonsils out and a nose job. She walked into one door happy as larry and next thing ya know she is on a bed out like a light. Honestly tho it was the worst feeling ever. I now know what old people must feel like when they see their loved one on a bed helpless. It was shocking i was like awww jessie but there was meaning behind it this time. so anyways she has ice block and ice cream and really nice food and some she couldn't eat so i wanted to munch it back hard but i wasn't allowed too. But yeah i managed to get a sandwich so i was way stoked. Now she didnt acually get a nose job but she got somthing cut up there and it hurt like crazy. So all this week i have been nurse haydn and crickey stuff doing that full time. But i guess it shows her that i care. Ok thats about it but yeah her tonsils where as big as ice cubes
